In December 2015, the ISO CAN FD has become the ISO standard as ISO 11898-1:2015, an ammendment of the original 11898-1 document. The document now comprises both the Classical CAN and the CAN FD protocol.
On January 31st 2016, the ISO published the document BS ISO 11898-1:2015 “Road vehicles. Controller area network (CAN). Data link layer and physical signalling”.
